The Story

Beezy Africa started rhyme and rhythm at the age of 14 and has been a shining light throughout his school days starting The Basement Freestyle sessions at St Faith’s High Rusape and has been a strong proponent of socially conscious lyrics. The man was inspired by greats like Jay-Z and 2 Pac but was not particularly impressed by the focus on bling which in turn led him to cats like Mos Def & Common.

Still soul searching The BeezyAfrica (Batsirai Africa-Help the Muthaland) envisioned the Muimbiwashe Festival, a conscious urban festival (Watch this space).Now the man has a purpose which makes him a leader in his genre and is the only urban groove hip hop artiste which can promise that you have not heard his sound before.

Mota Yemawaya.

Muimbiwashe Records & tapiwabatsiraimusic presents the Heartsrings Vol 1 entitled Mota Yemawaya feat traditional Hip Hop vs Conscious vs Gospel Hip Hop all in 1 experience. This was his independently released album featuring popular tracks Mota Yemawaya and Aona Kunaka. The album suffered because of lack of distribution but the tracks still proved popular on the internet featuring on podcasts.

Beezy Africa

2011 has seen Beezy align himself with High On Talent (HOT) management, sign a record deal with Angel Voice Records and come out with his second album slated for August 2011. “This album is self titled to introduce the rebranded me to Zimbabwe and the World…it’s not just music,it’s a ministry and a mission..”
